Pillsbury Cook-Off
I just entered my third recipe on the Pillsbury $1,000,000 Cook-off contest. I've watched the cook-off contest for a couple years on food network and each time I 'd say, "I should enter that!" Finally I got my act together and came up with three recipes that I think are pretty decent. I won't know until October if the judges think so.
You have to use Pillsbury food products of course and being a cook-from-scratch cook that was a bit of a trial. My first recipe uses the peanut butter cookie dough (peanut butter/chocolate mousse bars) and my second used Pillsbury pizza dough and Jif peanut butter (chicken satay pizza) and my third coffee and nutella (using Pillsbury flour and Eggland's eggs).
I'll keep you posted or maybe you'll just see me on food network!

Congratulations!!!this is great news Barbie....We're all cheering for you....and the prizes. I volunteer to accompany you to the cookoff. This is only the beginning.
I want to be on the record as saying, I think you have the best chance with the seasonal recipe (the peanut butter or pumpkinesque tart). Did you stick w/ that idea? The other recipes sound yummy, too!
Wouldn't it be great if you could be the next creator of a recipe ala the green bean & French's onions casserole or the Magic Cookie Bar or Rice Crispies treats?
Keep us posted. We're all rooting for you!!!
I like your new background because it makes the print easier to read. Could you experiment with making the font bolder?
Is it me, my age, or is typeface in magazines and newspapers become smaller and smaller and articles shorter and shorter?
Did you give your concoctions names for the cookoff?
Peanut Butter/Chocolate Mousse Bars
Chicken Satay Pizza
Real Coffee Cake
I saw these colors/background on a blog I really like (Seasonalsoundings.blogspot.com). I'll experiment with the fonts, knowing that my readers are presbyoptic. (And the writer!)
