Okay, Okay, I Couldn't Resist...

...Blame it On Rev. Kim.

I purchased a new cell phone about 5 months ago. I am still learning how to use it. Whenever I need help I turn to one of the kids. Inevitably they will say, "Here, just give it to me." I retort, "No, tell me how to do this so I can learn!" If I don't go through that process of hands-on learning I will always be depending upon others to fix my phone. That's dependence where I should be independent.

Barack Obama's income redistribution  is wrong. It keeps a segment of our citizens dependent on those who have learned and succeeded in independence. It is based on keeping those who are not making an adequate income dependent upon those who are. It is based of covetousness. It is based on a subjective value of fairness. Obama has said it many times, got on tape: It's about fairness.

But when you look at his plan-what is fair, what the outcome would produce-Obama's income redistribution is really short-sighted and evil.

1) Obama wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. Instead of aiding the poor to become rich (or simply financially independent) he gives them want they want and not what they need (the tools and knowledge to see themselves become independent). This keeps the poor dependent on government. Isn't that what a pimp does with his/her employees (to put it delicately - at least from my understanding after watching 269 episodes of Law and Order, the Rockford Files and NYPD Blue)?

2) Obama's plan will determine how much is too much money for one person, or one family, to have. That's rather subjective and god-like!

3) Obama's plan keeps us looking to what others have and wanting it and more. It's coveting the success and hardwork - no, it's coveting the result of someone else's success and hardwork.

4) Obama's plan could potentially encourage the upper income populous to leave the U.S. for other lands whose tax burden isn't so high (ie. Ireland). What would that leave for the "poor"? Would that subjective amount deemed rich have to be lowered in order to maintain the amount re-distributed to the "poor"?

I am thankful that video of Joe the plumber is making the rounds on the internet because FINALLY the essence of Obama's worldview was brought to light. Socialism. Seems good on the surface - if no persons where involved but when you get man in it who is greedy, selfish and lazy then it messes the plan up. As Churchill said:
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
Other great Churchill quotes:
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.

Some people regard private enterprise as a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look on it as a cow they can milk. Not enough people see it as a healthy horse, pulling a sturdy wagon.

Barb,
My concerns are not so much with his economic ideas as with his views about abortion. Did you read the article on Presbyweb yesterday? Obama's Abortion Extremism
Although there are some concerns there.

Yes, Viola, I heard him on Laura Ingraham today. I'm posting this article tomorrow and sending it to family members still enamored with Obama.
You're right - his abortion views are the most vile and alarming issue.
