Polling

I wondered this during the election (actually for sometime) who takes these polls that tell the world:
Obama's approval ratings are....
Bush hit's the lowest approval rating ever...
Most Americans approve this stimulus package by a .... margin
A majority believes....

I have never taken a poll. No one I know has ever taken a poll. With the theory of 6 degrees of separation it would seem that with all these polls out there I would know several people who have been asked polling questions. I often question the results of these polls. I wonder, "What questions were asked?" "How were these questions asked?" and "Who was asked these questions?"

Have you ever been polled? Consider this your first (perhaps) poll!

I am very distrustful these days, so even when the pollers call me (and they have, and claim to be pollers), I tell them i am not interested. I always think they will be trying to sell me something.
