Okay, that speech will never happen but there are many people to thank for giving us such a wonderful vacation in California.1) My husband, the father of my children. He "allowed" us to be away from him for just over two weeks. And he put up with my phone absence when I was over a thousand miles away and he was worried to death.
2) My mother - for being a senior citizen (giving us a 50% discount at the AmVets Thrift store) and handicapped (allowing us to park closer). Also for rest and food and IHOP and Farmer Boys and good times and more lines to include in our memoirs
3) My older sister - driving us to Newport. Chocolate chip cookies (Aidan only had 3, or 4 or was it 5?)
4) Younger sister - good times, good walks, good portable car dvd player that soothed the savage beast in Liam. What a godsend!
5) Younger brother who gave us his miles so we could fly Ian out!
6) Brother-in-law Tim for the beautiful portrait of Emma
7) Nephew Austen for considering coming out to visit us
8) Niece Claire for being a good playpal for Liam
and of course the reason for going out to SoCAL...
9) Niece Hayley who introduced Emma to hanging out at the Mall, introduced me to my new favorite song (Starlight by Muse) and put up with Liam's whining
Of course there is the Academy,
10) Those of you who prayed for us during this trip. We couldn't have survived without prayer which leads me to...
11) my Creator for giving me such a wonderful, albeit dysfunctionally fun family.

So glad you had a great time! Also thankful for the safe trip! You are amazing Barbie...a great role model for my grandchildren and a Proverbs 31 woman for my son. Can't ask for much more than that!
You're welcome for introducing Emma to the mall and for getting you into Muse. It's what I do. "sigh" Being awesome is sooo tiring
