As I was hobbling to the lavatory for my morning constitutions I said to myself, "Dang, my toe hurts. I don't think I should be walking on it. I think I'll be spending the day in bed." And so I am.
Last night, while moving 15 pound weights from the basement to the front door (for a free cycle participant to collect), one of those weights fell, accidentally, on my right foot's big toe. I won't give the details since it might incriminate a member of my family. I screamed for about 5 minutes, then came upstairs, laid on the couch and had one of the kids place a bag of frozen peas on the toe.
It's not broken but dang, it hurts! I've elevated it, iced it and am off it. I know the toenail will go but I'm thankful it's not broken. So I'm a lady of leisure today and am more thankful for older children to take care of the younger one.

If it doesn't interfere with any medication you're taking, have a glass of that Black Mountain Pinot Noir you've raved about and watch a fun movie.
Take care, Barbie. We'll call ya later.
Ouch! That makes my toes cringe.
ohhhhhh, uooooo, ouch......sorry to hear the pained details. Hope you get better soon. Next time I'm there for dinner, no thanks, pass the peas.
