We're going out of down for a few days so I won't be blogging. Wah, Wah! I know you'll miss me!
One thing packing for a trip does to me...it reinforces how my wardrobe is lame and retarded (and not retarded like Robert Redford thinks of the Bush administration).
Seriously, I could use garanmimals for adults. I have a dozen shirts and a dozen pants and they hardly match each other. Would someone please nominate me for "What Not to Wear" (uh, not really, that would be just too embarrassing!).
You know I'm not really aware of the ineptitude of my clothes until I am searching for complete outfits to wear around people I don't spend time with 24/7. It's amazing what I get away with with my family. I am like my second son, third child, and like to wear the same thing three days in a row. Can't do that when with the in-laws. Their impression of me may become more tainted.
Just thought I'd lay out my derelict fashion-sense for the blogging world to read.

Enjoy your lovely in-laws! I like the idea of garanimals (sp?) for grownups! If I were richer I might buy whole outfits from the stores / catalogs and not have to think about it. Although frequent travel has forced me into a more coordinated approach than I might otherwise take, I'm still regularly late for work because I can't decide what goes with what.
I found something that may provide a partial solution to this and one or two other wardrobe problems I have, though, and will blog about it imminently...
I have come to realize that all moms don't have a uniform (outfits worn so often that's what they feel like!). I am sorely lacking in the clothing department because I don't like shopping for myself, I seriously hate trying things on and I analyze the cost way too much while walking around the store. So after doing all those things I don't like, I hand said piece of clothing up and go. UGH. I feel your pain! Have a great visit with family. :)

We are having a great time!!!Having not seem each other since Christmas...much too long, we don't care what you are wearing. And we are not the 'clothes police' around here, we go for comfort!! Right now A. Debby is at the DAV looking for something warm (for that 3rd child, 2nd son) to wear sailing this afternoon. It's turned into Fall suddenly and we are not prepared.
Barbie, there are Garanimals for women and they are called, "separates." Thanks to Anne Klein and Liz Claiborne, this concept revolutionized the fashion/retail world. Think Macy's I.N.C. or the old Chaus line from The Broadway.
I was going to recommend that you watch Tim Gunn's (from Project Runway) new show, but alas, you don't have TV anymore. When you get a chance, log on to his website for his simple and practical tips and list of wardrobe must haves.
I love what you wear, that either means my wardrobe is really blahh or er . . . I think you are very creative with clothes. And who says one can't wear the same thing 3 days in a row!!!
Okay Pauline, you have a blogger profile. Are you starting a blog? The trials and adventures of an artist's wife?
