Exercise Tracker

You may have noticed that I added an exercise tracker to the side of my blog. I'm back on to an exercise routine and need all the motivation I can muster to ensure that this routine becomes a rut.

So this is my routine: Leslie Sanson Walk Away the Pounds and Nordic Track. I do 3 miles with the dvd and 25 minutes (or 2.8km) on the Nordic Track (Yes, Hemperly's the one you gave me 8 years ago!). I try to do this 5 days a week. That works out to 23.68 miles per week. Now my goal is to work up to Leslie Sansone's 5 mile walk and do the Nordic Track for 30 minutes which would pump that weekly number up to 41.8 miles.

I thought it would be fun to record how far I walk each week and relate that distance to walking to some real destination. Since I've been using the dvd I've walked 39 miles. That's about from Sparta to Shiloh, IL (or where we do our Target shopping).

I'll be updating the miles every Saturday. It's really for my own benefit. You can ignore the whole thing!

www.americaonthemove.org has a program that tracks your miles and you can walk to different places like, the Appalachain Trail or something else equally wonderful. Best of Luck!

Walk on over here!!! Better yet, keep up the good work-outs & fly. Maybe after you get Mudsie back up with new routines. Proud of you, Barb, and appreciate the way you're always wanting to spur us all on! I forget we had that Nordic Track. Man, we need that over here. . .yet another reason for you to come!
